“Good, now setup a meeting with the brothers for tomorrow afternoon.  Tell them I want to discuss some new business and I think they might be the best ones to run it for me.  Make sure they are here and on-time.  I’ll make sure our security keeps all of their Zombies out of the building, just in case they bring any.  I hate those things and the brothers are masters of controlling them.”

“I can bring a couple of guys from the club to help with the cleanup.  They are loyal to the family and can take a bullet if things go bad.  I would like to have a couple of big bodies between me and the brothers, just in case.”

“First good idea I have heard from you.  Do it and I’ll have a couple of my best here too.  No chances with these brothers.  They are not fighters, but they are tricky.  No excuses, they go down tomorrow.”

“Will do, uncle.  I’ll take care of it personally.”

Old School Time 4

“Good, I want you to be the one to end the brothers.  They have grown too big and are taking money that should be going to the family.  It has to end, now.  And I want to be there to see it.  No one crosses us.”

“If you are sure, I can do it.”

“Of course I am sure, and don’t screw this up like you have everything else.  I am going to watch and make sure you do it right.  Enough of your aimless bumbling around from job to job, it is time to man up and do the right thing instead of being a screw up.”

“Uncle, I am no screw up, I have done everything you have asked and learned about every part of the family business.  I can run the whole show when you are ready to step down.”

“You have to be crazy.  I have not seen anything in you that gives me the slightest faith that you can run a street corner, much less the family business.  The best job you have done was at the strip club, and you ran it into the ground as soon as the brother left.  Do this right and I might be able to think of you as thug material and give you a chance to do some security for the family.”

“Whatever you think is best, uncle.”

Old School Time 3

There is no way those brothers are going to get the best of me.  They are making too much money off the Logistics business.  I know the suites made a deal but I don’t care.  You can’t let an employee take off on their own and succeed, it is bad business.  Let one do it and everyone will try.  They like my nephew, it is time for him to step up and do something right.  If not it is a perfect time to take him down and make it look like the brothers did it, for my sister’s sake.  I’ll have Robert to the dirty work and if he can’t I’ll do them all myself.  I am not too old for a little cleanup work and I’ll have some backup, just in case.  Can’t be too careful at my age.

I asked Robert to come over to have a meeting about some new business.

“Robert, I have some business for you to take care of.”

“Anything, Uncle.  You know I will do anything for the family.”
